Change Management Project Assistant

Associated Veterans is seeking a professional to perform work as a Project Management Assistant (Associate) who can function in a highly collaborative, multi-contractor environment for a government agency.  The candidate will perform analysis and support on programs and operations for our clients. The candidate will follow a structured approach that enables our clients to evolve to their desired future state. This approach is critical to our client’s ability to realize greater value and improvements in their planning, programming, acquisition, accountability, and performance measures.

The client office supports virtual self-service, contact centers, CRM platform systems and integrations to provide end users with information regarding benefits and services to the agency’s client base.  The client office is working toward modernizing the agency’s capabilities to provide accurate, efficient and timely information to improve customer interactions with the agency as well as measuring and improving service delivery.

Required Experience:

  • 2 or more years of experience using project management principles, and supporting projects.
  • Facilitates/participates in stakeholder engagement activities to develop as-is, to-be and readiness assessments for each project.
  • Ability to engage and manage stakeholders building stakeholder relationships.
  • Assist in developing training and communications strategies to garner stakeholder buy-in and successful adoption.
  • Maintain and managing relationships with senior level management within the client organization. 
  • Managing software development projects or other technology-based organizational transformation initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external teams, throughout the life of a project to ensure milestones are met, successful project implementation and adoption. 


  • Assist with creating and vetting various change management and adoption documents utilizing appropriate change management methodologies.
  • Assist in developing the change strategy and plan for the implementation, communication, training and user adoption of new software applications, with emphasis on large-scale, multi-site projects
  • Assist with engaging with organizational stakeholders to assess gaps in people, processes and technologies to ensure a complete and cohesive change strategy for each project.
  • Communicating on behalf of/serving as liaison of an organization such as leading meetings, training, serving as a liaison, leading public presentations, etc, to ensure effect change management and adoption.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and directly, both oral and written
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office products including MS Project
  • Ability to navigate a complex work environment to collaborate with business users, project sponsors, client senior leadership, technology partners, other contractors and supporting teams.
