Junior Business Analyst 02

Associated Veterans is seeking a professional to perform work as a Jr. Business Analyst, who can function in a highly collaborative, multi-contractor environment for a government agency.  The candidate will perform analysis and support on programs and operations for our clients. The candidate will follow a structured approach that enables our clients to evolve to their desired future state. This approach is critical to our client’s ability to realize greater value and improvements in their planning, programming, acquisition, accountability, and performance measures.

The client office supports virtual self-service, contact centers, CRM platform systems and integrations to provide end users with information regarding benefits and services to the agency’s client base.  The client office is working toward modernizing the agency’s capabilities to provide accurate, efficient and timely information to improve customer interactions with the agency as well as measuring and improving service delivery.

The candidate will perform tasks requiring delivery of analysis and advice for management regarding the evaluation of the effectiveness and efficiency of large scale programs and operations.  Tasks may include conducting organization studies that specifically assess and analyze current organization states and management systems; performing gap analyses of differences between current and targeted states; documenting and delivering findings and recommendations; and conducting surveys, focus groups, and other accepted techniques for data collection in support of organization studies that specifically assess and analyze current organization states and management systems.

The candidate will also support requirements planning, facilitation, validation and decomposition. This candidate may also build and validate multiple workflow and process diagrams, define routing of cases, escalation of cases according to SLA guidelines, closing cases, defining notifications, integrations, text analytics, and dashboards and reports for each user group.

Required Skills:

  • 2-5 years' experience in management analysis and requirements definition.
  • Experience conducting organizational studies that assess current organization states and systems.
  • Experience participating in meetings, workshops, and interviews with end users and other stakeholders to perform business requirements elicitation and documentation.
  • Experience writing requirements as use cases, user stories, functional requirements.
  • Experience with developing business process models and workflow diagrams.
  • Experience elicitIng business requirements for software development projects following an Agile software development life cycle methodology.
  • Effective communicator, both oral and written.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage their tasks and time independently.
  • Ability to analyze current (As-is) state of a business operation to understand its component parts and their relationship to each other in a system.
  • Ability to develop a future template (To-be) for a business process or new software development.

Preferred Skills:

  • Business Analysis certification (CBAP/PMI-PBA)
  • Experience with Human-Centered Design
  • Experience with the Rational tool suite
  • Experience with MS Dynamics CRM
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
