Organizational Change Manager/Analyst

Change Management and Adoption Project Manager

This role would serve as the primary contact at the customer site working with senior leadership, business/operations users and technical partners, as well as a group of AV associates whom are very familiar with the VA, the client and the program and project history. The project manager will help support and drive organizational change management and adoption of new across the multiple software development projects within the EVO. The staff member would assist to create Change Management and Deployment (CM&D) plans, but also maintain the document through deployment and implementation. This person will provide oversight to the full change management and deployment process. This position is located in Washington, DC.

Required Experience:

Change Management Experience

4+ years’ experience:

  • Facilitates/participates in stakeholder engagement activities to develop as-is, to-be and readiness assessments for each project.
  • Expertise in engaging and managing stakeholders for successful business transformation.
  • Engage with organizational stakeholders to assess gaps in people, processes and technologies to ensure a complete and cohesive change strategy for each project.
  • Developing the strategy and plan for the implementation, communication, training and user adoption of new software applications, with emphasis on large-scale, multi-site projects
  • Assist in developing training and communications strategies to garner stakeholder buy-in and successful adoption.
  • Creating and vetting various change management and adoption documents utilizing appropriate change management methodologies.
  • Ensure client ability in achieving sustainable performance and/or improvements by facilitating lessons learned and retrospective data collection and reporting, (utilizing as surveys, questionnaires, etc.)


Project Management Experience

6+ years’ experience in:

  • Maintain and managing relationships with senior level management within the client organization. 
  • Managing software development projects or other technology-based organizational transformation initiatives.
  • Work in conjunction with the stakeholders and tactical teams throughout the life of the project to ensure milestones are met and successful project implementation and adoption. 
  • Managing project scheules to ensure milestones are being met or
  • Responsibilities, Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
  • Strong facilitation skills to balance client and key stakeholder interests with health of overall project.
  • Communicating on behalf of/serving as liaison of an organization such as leading meetings, training, serving as a liaison, leading public presentations, etc, to ensure effect change management and adoption.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and directly, both oral and written
  • Knowledge of change management related to deployment of new IT systems
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office products including MS Project
  • Ability to navigate a complex work environment to collaborate with business users, project sponsors, client senior leadership, technology partners, other contractors and supporting teams.
  • Manage the expectations of the customer with regard to solution functionality and deployment process
  • Work with clients to review and develop guidance and policies that will facilitate understanding, adoption and implementation of new processes.
  • Reviews, understands and effectively communicates the requirements of new policies and legislation and helps to implement strategic planning initiatives to achieve all requirements.
  • Provides analytical and technical support for change management initiatives.
  • Ensure documents are maintained, removing the risk of tasks being missed, poor stakeholder engagement and abandonment of necessary updates
  • Facilitate pre- and post-survey and data analysis to ensure successful adoption.
  • Ability to travel within a weeks’ notice.

Preferred Experience and Education Certifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Psychology, Organizational Development, Change Management or related field or 6+ years of professional experience.
  • Change Management Certification (ACMP or Prosic) or 4 years of Change Management experience
  • Experience in a professional services/consulting organization environment is required
  • PMP + 5 years of project management experience or 7 years of project management experience
